Elegant Reasonism, A Philosophy of Knowledge

Elegant Reasonism is a net new, superset, epistemology whose source of truth is the unified Universe. Elegant Reasonism is a utility process, employing a technological framework epistemologically supporting truth as a function of the unified Universe as a philosophical predicate priority consideration entering science. Elegant Reasonism based epistemology holistically integrates Philosophy, Ontology, Axiology, Epistemology, Science, and Supervenience where truth is a function of compliant alignment with and of the unified Universe. Traditional epistemologies are: Empiricism, Rationalism, and Constructivism, among others, and Elegant Reasonism may integrate them as appropriate but must fully document them and their relative and respective derivations of truth consistent with the three phases of the framework: Recognition, Illumination, and Analysis. The objective and goal is always development of a treatise resulting in a fully compliant Treatise reflecting the unified Universe.

The fundamental flaw in the traditional approaches is that they are inherently tied to human physiology and prone to Langer Epistemology Errors. Elegant Reasonism, as an epistemology, is science based and holds as its foundation the elements and frameworks of the process and methodology which requires the use of a plurality of models (of the Universe) juxtaposed against paradigms of nature (or interest) where at least one of those models is required to close to unification, and where the over arching objective seeks truth from the unified Universe. Elegant Reasonism epistemology is in alignment with and has affinity to the unified Universe. Other “truths” are simply incongruous if they cannot be mode shifted into an Elegant Reasonism basis.

Interesting as the above paragraph may be, what does it mean? What are its implications in the real world? Our albeit human perceived world (e.g. realm) is “at scale” and a framework is required that spans all scales in a manner fully compliant with the realm of the c’s. Elegant Reasonism represents a number of fundamental paradigm shifts because it requires at least one of the Encapsulated Interpretive Models (EIMs) employed from the set used, close to unification. The only such model, at the moment, which does close is M5. We must ‘know’ whether or not that model ‘allows’ a given concept or not. So any given question is not about whether or not one ‘believes’ something, the question becomes ‘whether or not the EIM will allow or manifest the basis of the belief’. Otherwise you are dealing with fantasy. So for example we may ask if something is real or not. We must then observe that if whatever that idea is about can be made manifest through some configuration of architectural mass or not. The answer to that question will answer the question being asked in context of M5. Elegant Reasonism based critical thinking immediately dispels many myths for exactly this reason and as an epistemology the implications are vast and deep. When we couple these insights with other aspects of the epistemology built on the foundation of synergistic insights that are a function of Elegant Reasonism relating to the manifestation of human physiology, our neural networks and the paradigms that manifest these insights become nothing more than profound.

Preamble

When one sits down to tell a story about anything there is great desire and need for that story to progress in a linear fashion with the normal crescendos in the plot. Intrinsic in such an expectation is that the fundamental meanings and context do not change. That expectation unfortunately will lead to great disappointment because meanings and context do change. Exacerbating the situation is that foundational abstractions are highly systemic. Consequently they are intrinsic to higher orders of contemplation in ways not otherwise obvious. Some stories do not congeal until the very final moments and hinge on holistic comprehension coming together in those final moments exactly due to these issues. Such are semantic stories. This story is one of those latter stories. It requires an understanding of the smaller scales in order to understand systemic influence on higher ordered constructs. As you will see, traditional thinking does not connect the smallest scales with the largest, Elegant Reasonism – does. This is a holistic, semantic, story that will require deep engagement of and by the reader. The reward for that journey will be insights into the realm in which we exist never before fathomed. The reader will see and understand reality in a completely new and utterly unanticipated manner. This journey of the mind is epic. The only way to prepare for this journey is the willingness to engage. It must be experienced, not told or explained. Expect paradigm shifts. Expect unanticipated juxtaposition of contexts. Expect connections between the quantum realm and the cosmological. Expect a holistic, unified treatise that paints a significantly larger canvas.

Elegant Reasonism as an epistemology integrates the traditional philosophies holding them as necessary but insufficient. Herein reality is always held unique and distinct from our attempts to describe it. Never do we claim that we are directly describing ‘reality’, rather we are describing Encapsulated Interpretive Models (EIMs) of it. Epistemology carries an intrinsic reference to sentient entities capable of taking independent action based on that information in net new scenarios and Elegant Reasonism is capable of interpreting such entities as natural or artificial. Traditionally there are more than several philosophies of knowledge which generally approach the topic of ‘what one knows’. Some attempt to parse that subject into such areas as science, moral or religious knowledge, as if those are a sole basis for existence. The assumption being made is that human physiology is capable of directly perceiving all that is and it cannot. Elegant Reasonism does not make that assumption and takes a broader view integrating across the spectrum of science at all scales and industry. Elegant Reasonism also borrows from ISO 9001 QMS, Six Sigma, statistical sciences, especially Bayesian, leveraging new investigative tools to reach foundational conclusions available in no other way. Elegant Reasonism documents implications from encapsulated contexts created by abstractions employed by various EIMs of the Universe to demonstrate ‘logic artifacts’ and ‘logic traps’ to holistically illuminate the credible path forward. So powerful was this approach, used in the development of this series, that it founded this new philosophy of knowledge.

Over the course of the formative development years of this body of work it became blatantly obvious that the traditional philosophies of knowledge were insufficient to address intrinsic nature. Partly because humanity is a part of that nature. Partly because our biology is not capable of perceiving directly all that is. Partly because humans are insignificantly small compared to all that is. Partly because humans ‘know so much that just isn’t so’. Clearly human frailties and foibles are also a factor within human civilization. We will discuss the implications of having accomplished that relative to the philosophy of knowledge largely because the accomplishment could not have manifest absent some of these concepts. More than several of the tools discussed herein originated in the Information Technology industry and the profession, practice and processes of Systems Engineering. Elegant Reasonism is an epistemological way for humanity to align with reality and reality is unified, as is the The Emergence Model. Reality represents a canvas larger than human physiology and requires more of us than our biology can directly perceive through our five senses. It requires our intellect. Reality is cold, merciless and establishes its own moral code of conduct. Whether we like it or not, reality requires us to meet it on its own terms. Reality is what it is despite what we may think of it and it is therefore unique and distinct from any interpretive model we may conjure or contrive. Therefore what follows simply presents a codas to this series regarding it as an epistemology relative and respective to the Universe’s intrinsic nature and character. Early in the 21st century it has become evident that human physiology is neither the only type requiring consideration but neither is there a single interpretive model which any given entity may employ. Consequently such concepts as ‘perception’ have much greater range and depth of meaning that must be taken into consideration. The concept of “knowledge” requires a sentient intellect capable of taking independent action based on what it knows in net new scenarios. This new point of view must integrate into its considerations not only human physiology, artificial intelligence (AI) systems, but a plurality of EIMs of the Universe and instrumentality specifically designed to explore those various realms. It should be noted that in the set of such models, one is expected to be an interpretive model of the unified Universe. Integrating systems engineering concepts, practices, processes from that profession across these considerations yields an interesting set of insights developed by this series.

Humans have been on a quest to unify the fundamental forces of nature since we first realized we could think and became cognizant of paradigms as well as the relationships between them. Being able to write down on a single sheet of paper, using straight forward language and no mathematics, one paragraph that ties together the fundamental forces of nature is a powerful accomplishment. Developing tools which demonstrate a simultaneity of truth with existing theories magnifies that feat. Alliterating methodologies to mode shift thinking from the old to the new and back again takes those feats to a whole new level. Maybe these accomplishments were expected by some. Not by me to be certain. Also not expected was where and how those insights would manifest. The resulting degree of clarity penetrates not just science  but the epistemology itself founding an entirely new philosophy of knowledge: Elegant Reasonism. This installment of the series addresses the epistemology arising from that body of work. Several trend factors must also be integrated into the calculus that is the genesis of the material herein. The maturing information sciences disciplines and the percolating industry that spawned them are one set of issues to be sure. This especially includes: knowledge management, artificial intelligence, networks {of all sorts}, neurological sciences from medicine, software architecture and design {especially operating environments}. Moore’s law
pushing Newtonian limits reaching into deep into quantum mechanics sees the development of quantum computing which is spawning not just new hardware and methodologies, like the qbit, but the software systems which manifest its power to end users.

Introduction

It may be the epitome of irony that Elegant Reasonism is simple to the point of elegance, hence its name, but almost everyone believes it is complex beyond their ability to comprehend. The situation has more to do with preconceived notions that any definition of Elegant Reasonism. So as you look at this image and you ultimately see the plates, bowls, and saucers ‘flipped’ the other way because you successfully ‘picked the right one’, know this: There is no ‘right one’. The image is static. It does not change.  The paradigm shift that transpired occurred exclusively within your own brain and nowhere else. The shift occurred almost instantaneously didn’t it? Now, can you flip these objects back to how you originally perceived them? Can you learn to flip them at will?  This is not a simple optical illusion placed here for amusement. It is here to demonstrate and illuminate human perception and how it changes how we relate to real objects around us. These issues only get exacerbated by Langer Epistemology Errors. These errors occur when we think abstractions and our perception of them are the real objects in the Universe. Elegant Reasonism employs models exactly for the purpose of never claiming that it is describing the actual real Universe, rather it focuses on models reflecting it in order that it may act litmus to those models, and in that way minimize commission of Langer Epistemology Errors.

Another exemplifies familial expectations in the form of the traditional glass half full/empty discussion. Most would entertain discussions about attitude employing this metaphor. We are here to point out something entirely different. The question is which half of the glass is which, why, and ‘of what’. The reality of this particular image is that it is rotated 180 degrees. That is air in what look like here ‘the bottom’ but because the glass is inverted in reality that air is holding the glass against a surface immersed in a clear liquid. Careful inspection will reveal the meniscus inverted demonstrating the direction of the air-liquid interface. Things are not as they might seem. At the core of these various issues is human physiology. Our sense-organs furnish our brains abstractions immediately so that we might intrinsically relate to the realm in which we exist. We are so familial with these traits that we take them for granted and almost never think about that fact. Philosophy is centrally at the epicenter of these issues and it is in context of all that is, which necessarily includes humanity.  Magician’s pride themselves on misdirection of perception. They take advantage of these human weaknesses in order to entertain. We are not hear to entertain. We are here to realign your perceptions with the unified Universe because it is almost certain that, circa 2019, they are askew.

Elegant Reasonism, employing The Emergence Model, in describing ‘our’ Universe Bang to Bang inevitably describes “the” Universe, and it is unified, as is the model reflecting it. Once we are able to do that we necessarily must also manifest the orders of complexities that are real objects both inorganic and otherwise. Quantum rotors and other techniques animate inorganic into life. Connections between composite architectures various constituents interacting within an Event Frame are more wondrous and they are systemically related. The smallest possible construct is intrinsically related to the largest most massive objects known. Biological constructs animate through dynamics architectures and systems of systems empower and enable our central nervous systems whose epicenter focuses cerebral attention across all Brodmann Areas. Taking that smallest construct as an intrinsic system, we realize that everything real is a system or system of systems.

Everything Real is a System or System of Systems

Now consider that nothing real can transition the spacetime-mass interface without first conversion to energy. When we realize these intrinsic relatedness of constructs we connect our philosophy to the real unified Universe. We have the capability to perceive how the human being is made manifest. We can realize the connections we have as biological entities seeking to understand our place in the Universe. Those questions have now been answered, at least in part. A very tiny part to be sure, and in every sense. Philosophy is a cognitive endeavor, and one requiring the necessary infrastructure capable of supporting the instantiation of the underpinning thoughts rendering it real. Elegant Reasonism, as an epistemology, is fully capable in these regards exactly because it also carries with it processes & methods, and technologies across its phases of Recognition, Illumination, and Analysis in order to develop Treatise in full compliance with the unified Universe where it seeks truth.

Philosophical Domains of Discourse

Four debatable areas in epistemology form a primary domain of discourse will overtime be developed here more fully:

• philosophical analysis of the nature of knowledge and how it relates to such concepts as truth, belief, and justification,
  • Epistemological source of truth by specific epistemology and relative influence human physiology has relative to coping, adapting, learning, and how does that worldview impact interpretation.
    • Constructivism
    • Elegant Reasonism
    • Empiricism
    • Rationalism
    • Religious
    • … etc.
  • Belief systems, paradigm shifts and Transformational Leadership
  • Mode Shifted Justification of Evidence (e.g. redirection of justification basis so it is realm of c compliant with the unified Universe)
• various problems of skepticism,
• the sources and scope of knowledge and justified belief, and
• the criteria for knowledge and justification.

To this end we made a nascent effort to mode shifted ‘The Baloney Detection Kit‘ so often cited in science circles.

Elegant Reasonism brings to these ancient areas of debate, discussion and study, a vibrant net new foundation and tool set forming a technology derived from unification and science and in full recognition of the limitations of human physiology. Therein lay the distinction answering the question “why do we need another approach?” Physics was unified with the publication of the flagship book in this series only in 2012 and predominant thinking still has yet to embrace it, for a variety of reasons. This treatise, brings, for the first time, the thinking behind the development of that achievement and an illuminated review of the technology it employs. The language used herein may be foreign to some, but bear with me. All will be made clear. The salient point the reader must remember is “context”, and you should remember that it changes depending on which interpretive model is employed. Passages in the language of one model will begin with that model designation in parentheses (M1), (M5), etc., and yes – it matters (e.g. it is important).

Epistemology necessarily must develop ontology as a function of the Bang to Bang discussion because we are intrinsic to that discussion. Especially since (at the moment) we are the only ones having it. We fully expect in the coming decades to be in full communications with life elsewhere and when we do this epistemology will resonate.

 

Insights From The Unified Realm

Epistemologically Elegant Reasonism demands rigor, discipline, critical thinking, QMS Standards and methodologies tied out to predicate priority philosophy of knowledge. We must remind everyone that science itself is a specialized philosophy and in these statements it is not ignored. No, rather it is reinvigorated like never before and it too is brought together with fundamental philosophy in the same instant of paradigm shift. Reviewing The Emergence Model we find all relevant discussions center on the systems that are real objects and not the medium between them. Our focus shifts to the dynamic composite architectures instantiating the signals, forces, and relative phenomena. The domain of discourse is cleared of metaphysical constructs having no real basis which has the quantifiable effect of clarity whose affect on thinking is invaluable. All information exchange requires some real complex composite architectural infrastructure supporting it or it does not exist in reality as a function of the something vs nothing thought experiment. The act of empowering mode shifting through Translation Matrices enables powerful analytics that illuminate and illustrate both congruent affinity and incongruous considerations.

Credible Path to Epistemology

A highly preliminary systems review illuminates a credible evidence chain entanglement path down (e.g. convergence path) through humans through biology through organic matter to the divergence from inorganic and ultimately down to MBPs (under M5). Obviously there needs to be incredibly more work done to flesh all that out. But what is there seems to dovetail and make good common sense as well. When we recursively fold in NNRP concepts relative to the utility processes and analytical framework of Elegant Reasonism we fully instantiate epistemological cognition, and therein lay both a strength and caution relative to what it is we do relative to our progeny going forward.

Epistemological Impact of Elegant Reasonism

At first glance the epistemological impact of Elegant Reasonism is likely as a superset of the traditional epistemologies in the sense that Elegant Reasonism integrates them but statistically weights their insights relative to and respective of the unified Universe; however, that insight only broaches the littorals of the real impact. The full epistemological power of Elegant Reasonism is not realized until we fully comprehend how biological systems manifest within the entanglement gradient, most specifically those with Central Nervous Systems (CNS) and Brains.
